I just got this photo in my inbox tonight! Chris and Anne were so kind and sweet to work with and here is proof: not only did they ask for their photo with Jan and I before the end of their reception, they also sent us the pict the day after returning from their honeymoon! In three years of working weddings, this was a first for me!

Here is a very late slideshow from a shoot I did earlier this fall (as you can tell by the color of the foliage)! I've been waiting for a lull between shoots to post this here. To say I'm really looking forward to their wedding in September is an understatement!

This kind of registry is the perfect way for you to expand your photography budget. My registry will allow your guests the option of buying credit to your account to pay for prints, photographic artwork, and expand or upgrade your album. Like your other online registries, you can link to this registry from your personal wedding page website (or e-mail link) and your guests will have the convenience of paying online by credit card.

Each couple whose engagement session I shoot will have a customized webpage with your personal photos and a list of gift options of your choosing (straight gift credit, album spreads, and/or gallery-wrapped canvases, etc.).

A few snaps from my Thanksgiving

There's nothing like going home for a holiday. This weekend we visited my husband's family.

I don't have much in the way of my own personal Thanksgiving 'decorations', but if I was to start shopping, I would look for this sweet Pilgrim family.

If I were to begin a 'collection' (I don't allow myself), it would be white pitchers! I love them for their simple beauty and functionality! In this case, they held a lovely bouquet of fresh flowers in autumn colors.

My husband, his parents, and paternal grandparents all lived in Kenya for a number of years. These hand-etched goblets and tumblers are a family treasure and a wonderful reminder of years past.

On Saturday I had the pleasure of snapping some promo picts of the band, Simple Drive. The guys were great sports (and good actors) posing without coats and jackets on a very chilly November morning!

Saturday afternoon I had the pleasure of photographing Joe and Suzanne's engagement session. Usually it takes a while for some folks to relax and feel comfortable in front of the camera, but not these two! They were a photographer's dream and very few shots were wasted in our photo shoot that took us out to some of the prettiest places in Jessamine County. It was quite difficult to narrow down the dozens of photos taken to select some of my favorites which I've shared below. An added bonus to their great smiles was that they had personalities to match. Very sweet and genuine. I'm even more excited about their wedding!

The Nouget Cafe` Band

This evening found us shooting the Nouget Cafe`Band's Christmas album cover in the middle of Wilmore's Halloween bash. It was tricky but I think I was successful in keeping the pumpkins and costumed kiddos out of the camera's line of site. ;-)

Many thanks to hospitable owners of Tastebuds in downtown Wilmore for generously sharing their space for our little photo shoot! The shakes are great!
