WPPI

I just returned from an amazing time at WPPI in Las Vegas, a convention for wedding and portrait photographers from around the world (I think they said there were 12,000 in attendance)! It was a great time to get inspired and learn from some of the best in the business. The Trade Show was great for checking out some of the newest products on the market for albums and art presentation, not to mention view and buy all sorts of camera equipment and related gadgets and gizmos. The sessions with leading professionals were educational and re-fueling as we get ready to start another season of weddings. I'm so excited!!!

I was thrilled to travel with my college friend, Jan, and a childhood friend, Kelly, who is sticking her toe into the water of professional photography and will be assisting me at some of my weddings this year (so some of you will get to meet her)! Currently, I'm at my parents' home in IL for Easter weekend and don't have the ability to post some of our fun picts at Red Rock Canyon (practicing our posing techniques) so you'll have to check back later to see those.

Meanwhile, those of you with engagement shoots to schedule, expect to be hearing from me soon!

Snowbound in Cincinnati...

I thought I would share some photos from our family blog over here today. This past weekend we met Mom and Dad W up in Cincinnati (they live in Columbus and Cincinnati is about halfway between our homes). Of course, we got dumped on with bunches of snow which meant any plans for the Zoo were replaced with double portions of the hotel pool. Hopefully you can sense from these photos below why having a 2 year old is such a joy [most of the time :-) ].

Where did Daddy go?

There he is!

This makes my heart melt.
