The Ferrell Family

It's always a privilege to photograph someone's family, to be asked to record a slice of their lives that will become part of their family history for years to come. It's even nicer when it's someone with whom you have a personal connection! The Ferrells have been friend's of my sister and brother-in-law ('Bug' and Seth) for a long time (the guys were roommates in college for many years) and as such our circles have crossed from time to time. Try as we might, the four of us can't get my Seth and Jenny to relocate any closer to the Bluegrass.
A few weeks ago we joined the Ferrells for a warm summer evening at Shakertown and enjoyed apple trees, geese, and the occasional barnyard animal with their boys. I think life with a three year old is nearly always filled with wonder and excitement. Borrow one for a day and see your world with new eyes! In spite of all of the new things to see, the kids did marvelously though. Enjoy!
